Incipience, you say...?

Symbiote-Spidey by BD

Never

'The rutted tracks ahead
are beginning to rise;
no longer a path set,
the tundra lies in view.

[Koko dochira desu ka?]

Thrust forward inexorably,
time propels us against
the wind and the water,
and our will - and now,
we're leaving things behind.

Chiselled by the last,
a new visage faces each day,
with only footprints abaft,
to show us the young roots
from which our route has streamed.

Weathering storms of yesteryear,
the vines crossed and crossed,
cut and cut,
ebbed and flowed,
the frolics and gambols,
saw them interlaced merrily,
...dancing together...
but now we must part.

I want to go.'

'No.'

Now Now

Ryu [and his crazy eyebrows].

The Wonder Years

Unlovingly inked, aged 14, for a menial assignment in 2002.

Sketched onto a scrap of card, quickly and carelessly... just how I do, and like, it.

A fun, commissioned skit. Hardly onerous work, but quite whimsical stuff. Dainty.

Into the breach, friends... my watercoloured beginning, a Samurai Champloo still.

Conjured from my very own salad days.

I woke up one morning, and saw this. Really. They say God works in mysterious ways - perhaps I'm his video-gaming conduit...?

The annotations speak for themselves, but, just in case: lazily sketched off a MySpace avatar in 2 minutes 47 seconds.

Live and love honestly.
Signing off, A.K. Dholakia.
